I use this in the remote for my deck awning. If the battery goes and you don't have a spare, the awning has to be hand cranked. I had to do this twice and do not want to ever have to do it again. This lithium battery lasts a very long time and it is easy to forget that you need a battery. I now have a few spares that will always be there when the one in use dies.
